We offer 2 main kinds of Amaryllis. Dutch and South African Hybrids.
African Amaryllis are very different from the Dutch hybrids. They are more compact, less likely to fall over than some of the older varieties of Dutch hybrids. Dependable bloomers with multiple stems per bulb. Better still, most bloom in about a month from potting. Ideal for flower by Christmas and a perfect gift.
The musical names relate to the flower size with Symphony being the largest, Sonata next size followed by Sonatini. The smaller varieties look great when you plant 3 or more to a pot.
Dutch Hybrids offer an increasing range of colours and flower forms. These tend to bloom in mid to late winter. These newer varieties are really spectacular and are bound to please everyone who grows them.
