(Bergamot or Bee Balm)
These lovely plants do well in our Canadian gardens. Monardas are native to North America,, this makes sense. Long used for their herbal properties, for tea and in potpourri, gardeners love them more for their long-lasting, late-summer flowers. Monarda is an important mainstay of every cottage garden and does its thing in mid-summer; just when the border could benefit from a fresh burst of colour. They are easy to grow from light shade to sun and like some “breathing room”, so don’t crowd them. Deadhead to prolong bloom time, and divide every 2-3 years in spring to maintain vigour.
Shipped well rooted in 1 litre, 4.5" pots.
