TEMPTATIONEARLY-SEASON CLEMATIS
(Zotemp) (patens group) The seduction starts with the early profusion of medium-sized 7-10cm (2.75-4"), purple-red flowers with a central boss of smaller petals in May-June. These are followed by a mass of red-barred single flowers in August. A temptation indeed; don't resist! It only grows to 1-1.5m (3-4.5') making it perfect for containers or the smaller garden. Pruning group B. Hardy to zone 4.
