WHITE CLOVERFOR A BEAUTIFUL, CHEMICAL-FREE LAWN
(White Clover, Dutch Clover, Alsike Clover) Before the advent of herbicides, White Clover was the main component of the most highly regarded lawns, and rightly so. Mixed with grass and other green ground covers, Clover contributes beautifully to a tapestry of different colours & leaf shapes. Unlike most lawn grasses, White Clover will not brown off and go dormant in summer heat. Clover also acts as a natural fertilizer by fixing nitrogen in the soil, and it will out-compete most weeds. The delicate-looking flowers bloom white or pinkish-white in mid-summer; if you don't want the flowers, just mow your lawn short. An added benefit: get the kids out of the house. Kids love to crawl around on a clover lawn looking for lucky four-leaf clovers. Once established, White Clover is very low-maintenance. It tolerates light foot traffic, needs little or no fertilizing, rarely needs to be watered, resists dog pee, out-competes or disguises weeds, survives in poor soil or poorly-drained problem areas, and looks great.
About 250 gr (1/2 lb) of seed will cover 70 - 125sq m (750-3250 sq ft), depending on how thickly you sow it.
1 unit = 1/2 lb, 2 units = 1 lb.
