ANCYRENSISSometimes called "Golden Bunch"). As soon as the snow melts a mass of bright, golden-orange blooms appear on each tiny 5cm (2") plant. They will spread in increase.
In all there are nearly a hundred species of these "early birds" of spring. We’ve chosen a few for you. Coming originally from the mountainous regions of southern Europe, they are hardy to Zone 4 at least (maybe more with some winter protection). They all bloom in early spring but not all at the same time. With some you’ll get bigger blooms on a taller plant (6"), while types half the height (3") will proudly deliver a whole bunch of flowers from one tiny bulb.
