BURNING HEARTS

New 2010 INTRODUCTION

Burning red hearts with edges touched in white adorn this remarkable new introduction. It forms mounds of silvery fern-like foliage with the rose-red blossoms arching above from mid-spring until fall frosts. A superb addition to any shade garden but equally good in containers. From the hands of the master Dicentra breeder Akira Shiozaki of Hokkaido Japan it is thought to be a mix of D. peregrina, Formosa and eximia. It likes a modestly moist, woodsy soil and shade. Ht. 25-30cm (10-12"), spread 30cm (24"). Hardy to zone 3.

Shipped well-rooted in our extra-deep 4.5" pots.
