HONEY SCENTED. A 'scentsational’ Royal Horticultural Society selection with great bunches of fragrant, lilac-blue and white flowers for up to three weeks in early spring. The grassy foliage tastes of garlic when deer or other venturesome critters nibble. This is not exactly their blue-plate special. Ht. 15cm. (6"). Hardy to zone 5 in a sandy, well-drained soil.

TIpheion originated in the mountains and foothills of Argentina and Uruguay. Flowers range in colour from white to blue, purple and pink. The blunt green foliage smells of garlic when munched, discouraging curious critters. Ours have been selected for their superior performance. Ipheions like a moist, to average, well-drained soil in dappled shade. They are spring ephemerals, blooming early and then dying back for the summer. Great in pots in a cool greenhouse. Hardy to zone 6 with protection.

Top quality bulbs.
