Tall towers of wine-coloured foliage are adorned with bi-coloured pink, tubular flowers. It blooms from midsummer onwards and retains its dark foliage throughout the season. This University of Nebraska introduction of our native beard-tongue is an easy border plant, great for cutting and exceptionally hardy. Penstemon like full sun, average water and soil and are attractive to bees, butterflies and birds. Ht. 90cm (36"), spread 76cm (30"). Hardy to zone 4.
Shipped well-rooted in our 1 litre, extra-deep 4.5" pots.
