MAMMUTH

(Ironweed)

A cloud of purple aster-like flowers for many weeks in late summer, on well-branched, super sturdy stems clad with lance-shaped, dark green leaves. As its name suggests, an almost indestructible North American native from the northeast, that looks great with tall grasses and is also a magnet for butterflies. Although they'll grow almost anywhere there is sun, they prefer a rich soil with some moisture. Ht. 1.2-1.5m (4-5'), spread 75-90cm (30-36"). Zone 4.

Shipped well rooted in 1 litre, 4.5" pots.
